Looks quite clean Rob.
I tried the password recovery but did not receive a message?
Anyhow, keep up the good work Rob!

It's looking good Rob. and soooooooo much faster to load.
Watch out that people don't post real content over there though, as it looks like any changes will be lost after you re-import the forum data for launch.

@ Dunny
Frankly, I havent quite wrapped my head around everything that's available for it. We'll have a complete list as I plop items in there.
@ de100kb
Check your spam messages - for some reason both times I've tested it, it got flagged as spam. Can you check and let me know?
The final design isn't quite done yet.

Yeah - that's something that surprised me too - it's really lightning quick!
I'm going to monitor the preview site to make sure that no one accidentally posts anything in it.

I'm in! Not much time for browsing today but 2 more days of work and I'll be home for 16 days so lots of time to explore the new site.
PS: no spell check Rob?

I'm acutally off for the remainder of the year :D
The spell check is in the upper right hand corner - it looks like ABC with a check underneath.

[:(!] that spellchecker is Microsoft Internet Explorer only [xx(] and I only use Opera so I'm back to Aspell http://aspell.net/win32/ but that does not integrate as nice into the site as the old spellchecker did so I hope you find a way to integrate a spellchecker which does not depend on IE Rob.
One more for the wishlist: the link to a thread with new postings now jumps to the first page of the tread even when the new posting is on page 2 or more. Could you tweak it so it opens the thread at the page where the first new posting since the last time I visited the thread is?
Hope you understand what I'm trying to ask [:P]
ps: there are some double smileys in the quick use box on the right of the full message editor.
ps2 had to remove the smileys from this post because the system says the admin does not allow more then 4 pictures in a post and smileys are pictures?

You Moderators sure are a dumb bunch........................http://www.thegoldenrivet.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif
There is an easy way.
Click on the unread posts link in the top R/H of the page, select the thread you want to view and click on this icon "http://f800riders.org/forum/darkstyle/buttons/lastpost.gif" within the last post column.
The amount of images per post is admin cp controllable.

Well,
since everyone is asking, I'd love to have "back to the top" button if possible, thank you

And an exclusion to the French and Italian forums unread posts, or an option to subscribe/unsubscribe

[PO] I know Dunny but I still like the immediate e-mail option best so I almost never use the 'unread messages' feature and would like to continue using the mail confirmations.
If I want to open the page I just select the link in the email message and with the old software I would end on the right page and now I end up in the first page hence my request.
And yes that was my point: please Admin please remove that limit so I can use lots of smileys again [WV]

$160 only goes so far..........................

I hear that - I worked on getting the Google Spell deal up all afternoon. It appears to be a no-go for right now. I'm gonna investigate other options.
de100kb - the max images per post should be fixed. Can you give it a shot and let me know.
I'll work on the back to the top button.

Have to say that you are getting very, very kind Rob. I praise that.
Maybe you should take the good ol' whip and... hm, this goes to my wife... sorry... [hide]

No Rob it isn't [B)] tested it in the testing area and I still get the message I can't use more than 4 smilies and if I try to ignore the message I can't submit.
One more thing I have not seen mentioned: all the dates of items older as two days only get shown as month hh:mm so not the date itself. [:I]
