How do you remove the instrument cluster?

I ordered my bike without the OBC as the salesman told me the temp, fuel and gear indicator would still be present without that option. They are not. I have found that the clusters are the same on all the bikes the only difference is the plastic cover for the LCD and the gauges is different on the bikes with no OBC. I want to remove LCD cover and see if the temp, fuel and gear are still shown under the LCD. Then I would just order the cover for bikes with the OBC. Anybody removed their instrument cluster ever or know if the info I seek is shown on all the LCDs?

Well I am in the same boat here, but have looked very carefully from an ancle and the screen bellow seems blank, I am tempted to actually cut off the extra piece and see what happens.

Let me know if you find anything different.
