Site painfully slow

Is it just me or have others found this website to be exceedingly slow? I've all but given up trying to post the past few days since the connection times out.

I've also gotten this message several times lately:

If I go to any of my other bookmarked websites, they are all running fine so the server problem doesn't seem to be at my end.

Upstream data maintenance by the fiber provider for the site. Should be back online now. (or be *getting* back online for most people now)

Perhaps you have some bandwidth restrictions on your site hoster.

Either way the writing to database is really slow.

Are you using SQL Server or MYSQL as a backend?

There are no bandwidth restrictions. It's a MySQL server backend.
