I think it is time for us BMW riders to change that.[}:)]

I have seen pictures and have heard stories of of great riding in the Black Hills. There is also a Sturgis BMW. I'll contact them to see if they are doing anything.

Mmmm. i don't know about that..... it would be like crashing a Village People party. The Black Hills area is nice enough but, not as good as the roads around here.[:D] Anyways, I plan on going to Gillette in July then meet up with my wife in Colorado and take the long way back to Oregon.

there's about a 90% chance i'll be there with my F800ST, and with two others (my partner who has a R1150R and with a friend who has a harley). i will know for sure by mid July. i would appreciate keeping this string going so that we can meet up there, or along the way, if plans firm up! we're coming from Seattle by way of North Oregon and would plan to be there around 8/2-3.

by the way, there is a BMW event in Sturgis in mid July

I suspect that with the BMW annual get together in Wyoming about a hundred miles or so to the west the week before Sturgis that there will be a good representation of BMWs in Sturgis this year.

Sturgis is sorta about Harleys, but its also about MONEY so if you have any, they'll be glad to take it from you there (especially if your tastes run to dental floss bikinis.

Just got the approval for vacation.:) Will post the ride schedule soon.

Also, wnet to the Black and Gold Rally this weekend and actually saw three other BMW motorcycles. I think one was an F800GS, but not sure due to the fact I was traveling in the oposite direction.

Harley riders crack me up. The HD-rider that I am supposed to go to Sturgis with still has his bike in the shop and it has been a month. He is currently trying to get the H.O.G. to lend him a bike to go to sturgis. I'll post more later.
