News & Views
The F800 Rider Community has been abuzz over the last few weeks due to a few major announcements. First and foremost is the launch of the F800S and F800ST in additional countries such as America, Canada and Australia. We now have owners reporting in and registering from all over the globe - North America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East. Congratulations to everyone who has purchased one, or has one on order.

What does worldwide availability mean? Aftermarket stuff! With the F800S and ST now available all over, it's a more attractive motorcycle for the aftermarket manufactures to created add-ons for. We're expecting a big influx of stuff specifically designed for the F800S and F800ST soon!

In addition to the launches, the other HUGE item in the F800 world is the retrofit. (see hot threads) Issues with a few initial motorcycles were officially acknowledged, a fix for it has been developed and is slowly trickling out. Check out the thread, and if you believe your motorcycle is affected by what's being talked about, check with your favorite local dealer.

Community Updates
We've been working extra hard lately to make this community the best that it can possibly be. We've rearranged the site format, and the forum order recently and they both appear to have helped the site quite a bit. We've launched the Supporting Member program in January, and have been thrilled with the response to it. Thank you all very, very much.

As of yesterday, all sticker orders have been shipped, and we have more in stock and ready to go. Additionally, we have (finally) received an acceptable T-Shirt shipment and have begun fulfilling those orders as well. We have T-Shirts in Small, Large, X-Large, and XX-Large in stock. We're are however backordered in size Medium, but an order of those should be in early next week.

We've also made a few additions to the program. The file upload size has been modified so that supporting members can now upload a file MORE than twice as big a non-supporting members. Additionally, you may have noticed links to 'Garages'. Supporting Members now have the ability to create a personalized page showing off their F800, whatever else currently resides in their garage, or what they would want in it. Supporting Member donations, as always, go to help facilitate community bolstering events, sponsor a few giveaways, and help defer a bit of the cost of running the website.

The other major item in the works is our effort to become a BMWMOA Chartered club much like the Internet BMW Riders, and the Chain Gang. Now that the F800 has launched in the US, we're ready to move on this. If you are currently a BMWMOA member, and you want to help us charter please PM (http://f800riders.org/forum/pm_view.asp) me with your name and BMWMOA number. We only need 10 people to help out here!

Speaking of helping out - we're looking for help in the International Forums. If you speak and read English and an additional language, and you are willing to keep an eye on / promote our German, French, Italian, or Spanish forums - please PM (http://f800riders.org/forum/pm_view.asp) me. If there is an additional language forum that you think should be setup, please PM (http://f800riders.org/forum/pm_view.asp) me as well.

F800 Depot / F800 Riders Marketplace
Many of you have noticed the link we've had on the top left of every page now for about two months referencing an F800 Marketplace. Well, we're ready to reveal the meaning of it now...

Within the next month, we'll be launching an aftermarket 'hub' for the F800. In this hub will be a few things - An accessories compendium assembled by the riders for the riders, a new Buy/Sale/Trade Forum, and soon F800Riders.org Video Reviews of the latest, greatest parts, accessories, and gear.

Additionally, we are announcing a brand new website - F800Depot.com (http://F800Depot.com). F800Depot.com (http://F800Depot.com) will have the best selection of F800 specific items at reasonable prices, and a portion of every purchase will be donated to the community. Effective immediately, they will be processing all transactions related to the Supporting Member Program -- products will be added to the site soon!

More information regarding the Marketplace and F800Depot.com (http://F800Depot.com) will be sent out soon!

Wrapup
That's about for this HUGE update. Thanks for your time. Remember - you can opt out of these via updating your profile to not accept emails from members, and feedback (good, bad or otherwise) is always welcome. Feel free to Private Message me anytime!

Come discuss this update here (http://f800riders.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1173).

Thanks again!
