Being my birthday weekend and for once having some time off I will be going to the British Superbikes at Thruxton. Anyone else going? There are some cracking roads around that area and if I can persuade my other half I wouldn't mind blasting around there on the Saturday before race day [ride]

Any interest? [nod]

Obviously not!!!

Well I went along with a few others and had a cracking day, beautiful weather, fantastic racing and good roads to ride there.

Here are a few pics from the day...

Parked up on the A339 from Basingstoke to Newbury - great road! [ride]

His VTR might be fast, but ask him how many miles he gets to the gallon (not many), and what the tank range is (crap)!

That is very true and something he was wingeing about. He has a 150 mile round trip commute every day and has to fill up on his way back! I still would love one as a toy though, feels a lot smaller than the ST and handles a lot better than a 600 GSXR in my opinion.

Yes, the VTR has a nice engine.
As an all round package, I think the 800S is better.
In fact, there's not much to beat it - until the 800GS comes out?!
