so...little trip to Le Mans last weekend...it was the 20th anniversary of the first time i ever went! doesn't seem like it was that long though!

that new HP1200 was the best sounding bike on the circuit! and they finished 16th out of 34 teams..

first piccy is the 'S' looking shiny in the evening sun..

so we did just over 900 miles in three days, out of all the bikes here the 'S' was the most fuel efficient...the VFR was next and the two blades do pretty well; when the speed was kept lowish....200 miles to the tank was the norm..

I had a new tyre fitted just before we left, new BT014 the old one lasted just over 2800 miles before it was shredded...twins are kind of hard on tyres, this one is well scrubbed in now though..and is likely to suffer some more when i hook up the track day at Donnington later next month...

Bad news is...after this trip the Remus can is F****d the insides are coming out the rivets at the back and the badge gave up the ghost and fell off! guys at Remus say they will replace the can, so I'm going for Titanium as a replacement.

Worse news than that though...the bugger has started to puff smoke after its been ticking over for a while, leave it idling for 30 seconds or more at the light and then rev it, nice puff of blue smoke that lasts about 2 seconds..its back to BMW next week...they are a bit concerned (as am I) just feels like valve stem seals....

anyway good trip enjoy the photo's...
