This one is simple,

Tools needed:
-25 torx
-30 torx
-10 mm wrench

First off all, remove the seat, after that remove with torx Nš25 the "false gas tank". For that you need to unscrew 10 bolts, 8 from "false gas tank" and 2 of the side fairing.

Now you can remove the cover. Notice some tabs that fits into the side fairing.

It's time now to remove the battery holder, here you need the N30 torx.

And then the wire terminals, here you need the 10mm wrench (or Phillips screwdriver). Make sure your contact is off and even better if you don't leave the key on the ignition to prevent mistakes. I would first remove positive terminal, then negative.

Now you can remove your battery, in the pictures you can see the left fairing missing, but it's not necessary to do that.

Install new battery and reverse steps backwards. Install first negative wire, then positive.

That's all falks!

Nice post!

One important comment: Conventional wisdom would advocate that it's generally safer to disconnect the negative terminal first to reduce the chances of a short circuit. This is because the frame and much of the bike ("ground") are connected to negative, as in most modern vehicles.

Here's a way to think about it so that you'll always get it right: before disconnecting (or connecting) the first of the two terminals, ask yourself what would happen if a random electrically conductive part of the motorcycle were to come into contact with whatever terminal remains *unconnected* after you have done the disconnecting (connecting) of the first terminal.

The correct order of this procedure is intended to reduce drastically the probability that the positive and negative poles of the battery get electrically connected to each other, even for a very short time.

To sum up:
(a) When removing the battery, be sure to remove the *negative* lead first.
(b) When installing the battery, be sure to connect the *positive* lead first.

Cheers,
Andreas
