Well, my visit to southeastern Ontario is coming to an end. Lots of nice riding in this area.

Tmorrow I am off to Whitby for an oil change in the morning and then turning north to the Sue and over the top of Lake Superior then west to home.

I have put 6000kms on the bike since leaving on the 9th and expect another 4000kms before pulling into my driveway. No way anyone will get a low mileage bike if I ever decide to sell my ST.

See you all in a week or so.

I am back.

11,800kms in 30 days.

Manitoba, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ontario, Quebec, New York.

Aside from cutouts and the fact that my exhaust is sounding more and more Harley-like every day, the bike ran flawlessly. It really is becoming a mean sounding bike and heads swivel before I get within a block of folks. Crank it at low revs and it is a nasty growl until it hits 4k rpm then it begins to howl.

Longest day was 1000kms. No hard economy figures yet, but I am sure it was about 4L/100km (60 mi / US gal) and that was with 350lbs of rider, gear and luggage.

Wow! That's a trip. And how about tires? Did you changed them on the road or still are good the ones from day one?

Sorry, forgot to mention that.

New Metzler on the rear after 9600kms (3000kms into the trip) and new Metz on the front at 15000km. The front looked fine to me but the shop said that it was way past its prime.

So you took out the original Dunlops D220F ST after 9600km? Good indeed compared to mines, worn out at 6000km!
