I have purchased a Stebel Magnum -2 (TM 80/2) on the Net after reading some Forums recommending them and their own promo material as "designed for bikes where space is at a premium" & "connected in minutes", "wiring is as easy as removing the 2 wires from your factory horn and connect them to the magnum" .
I look at the kit (2 horns) and the location of the OEM horn and my eyes start rolling in opposite directions.('[eek]')
Question: has anybody done this installation or something like it?:('[hide]')
Can you advise?('[bh]')

I had a wrenching buddy help me do the installation (Loose translation...he did the work).
We (he) installed hi-lo Fiamms that came off of a wrecked bike. I have pictures of some of the installation. If I can find them, I'll post them.
We (he) cut the wires to the OEM horn and removed it. One horn was installed in that position. The other horn was bolted to the side of the engine under the lower fairing on the LEFT side of the bike. A wiring harness ran from both horns to a relay and then plugged into a Centech fuse box that is hooked directly to the battery.Works great. Sounds like a truck.

Thanks for your reply. You sound as if you have great buddies. Any chance of him visiting Australia soon?
Seriously you have given me a start or at least I can pass this on to the guy at my LBS.

Here are pictures of the second horn mounted on the left side of the bike. The first horn sits where the original horn was. Sorry I don;t have shots of the electrical work.

Makes a Kenworth sound like an winging cat. meow!!
With a new pipe I'll all the aural safety I'll ever need.
