Roadpizza's Pictures = I took the my wife Glenda up to Cape Horn, Washington after work today. The sun was already behind the The mountain by the time we got there so the lighting was not what I was looking for.

Great pictures -- beautiful scenery.
One word of caution from a Florida person -- perhaps not applicable in Washington.
One of your helmets is sitting in the grass beside the bike. Good idea to put the helmet on the ground but, if you set it in the grass, be sure that no ants or other critters have moved into it before you put it back on.
Having several fire ants start across the inside of your visor is most disconcerting -- I can attest personally.
BTW, how do you like your Schuberth C2?

There is no fire ants up in this neck of the woods. In fact, I believe you would be surprised at the lack of bugs found here. Nothing like you would be accustomed to in Florida and the rest of the South. Seven inch slugs maybe but, no fire ants.

I have enjoyed the Schuberth and on a scale of 1 to 10. I'd give it a 9.5. I am in need of a new shield soon as the one I have now has a small scratch in the upper center area. Not bad but, it would be nice to replace it. If that is still an option.

Really nice landscape, it's nice to ride in such a place! Guess by the mountains you have a lot of switchbacks over there.

The roads around the area vary as much as the landscape. Almost all have more than their share of twisties mixed with very nice broad scenic landscapes. There is everything from old growth timber lined roads to high desert openness. One can ride with the scent of Douglas fir around Mt hood. Then go on to the heavy fragrance of Juniper while riding near the John Day area or smell the fresh scent of Pine at Sisters, Oregon. If you get tired of any of this there is always the Pacific coast roads.:D

I see it is a bit on the hot side down your way........http://www.wunderground.com/auto/virtuallythere_jan3/OR/Cascade_Locks.html You have asked if there is year around riding up here on an other thread. If you like rain....yes, there is year round riding. There is a reason things are so green around here. Every place has it's plus and minus points. Luke, you say.....Hmmm.

yeah. nasty. eventually, i would like to relocate but am undecided where we'll end up. i suppose wherever the universe puts us will be fine...
understood. out here, i would say there are easily 320 days out of the year of riding. how many would you say there are in Oregon, sir?

Great pics ! You should see what we have to work with over here.
Luckily, from where I stand at 100 miles distance, it is possible to reach the Belgian Ardennes and at 250 miles the German Eifel region.
