You are cheating on me the1sen! You just flip 180º the previous picture! I can tell so because of the grey color on it! Shame on you!

(good try anyway!);)

neither my right or left mirrors have the large arrows (as illustrated) fitted to them.

Are these an optional extra from BMW?

Perhaps those owners who complain about not being able to see in the mirrors should remove these arrows - they must obscure the view surely ?!

The arrows are a BMW option - they come in a similar package as the special nuts and bolts for mounting the saddle bags. The wait time is 6 to 12 weeks since they are special order from Germany and it's getting close to Oktoberfest.

Well, I'm fed up of not being able to compain about my mirrors, so I've decided to adjust them so I can see more of my elbows. To enable this, I've ordered a pack of 10 sets of arrows, that's 80 in total (grey in colour as per the illustration in the handbook). BMW offered me a substantial discount if I ordered that many, together with a similar number of left-handed screwdrivers, small spirit-level bubbles and long weights at the same time. It seemed too good an opportunity to miss.

I'm happy to sell these items on to members at cost price.

The heavier items will be shipped by sea, but the spirit-level bubbles will be sent by airmail, so should arrive sooner. Given the delivery times I've been quoted, they should be available in the UK by April 1st 2008.

Oh, and by the way, the arrows were very competitively priced, but I thought the glue (an additional part number) was rather expensive.

hmmm... I did see an aftermarket mirror arrow pakage somewhere.. I'll look it up and edit this post with the link.

I do know that they had other colours to match your bike and some flouro yellow and orange for attaching when you are expecting low vis, fog etc.

Corse the build quality wasn't up to BMW spec but they look much cooler. :D

I tried to make my own arrows.
I copied the image kindly provided by the1sen and worked out the scale of the arrows compared to the mirror size.
The lefthand ones came out ok but the right hand ones were more complicated.
However I just couldn't find a suitable attachment method.[SQ]
May have to go with the BMW glue although I suspect it won't work unless they are BMW arrows.[ahh]

Where there are arrows, there must be Indians.

Whoops.

Wrong forum.

Never mind.
