Mine is a little bent and courtesy of Ebay I have a new pedal. Went to change it and the large attachment bolt/screw is a star bit, probably T3 in size but then there is the actual connector at the back of the pedal - is this just an unscrew and it comes off, if so what is it to unscrew it, it is not a star and I think it may need an allen key but can't make it out properly.

Any ideas as to what it is and which size of that particular 'what' to use?

Hey everyone, we have up and running a swanky new Hall of Wisdom that can be found here

http://f800riders.org/HoW/index.php

If you would like to submit a new article, please select the "submit article" near the top of the page. A HoW curator will than go over your submission and hopefully approve it.

If you would like your thread to have discussion, perhaps it would be best off in the Accessories part of the forum.

Thanks!

I noticed that there was a repair manual here:

http://www.repairmanual.com/motorcycles/2008/11/0/20005

Is there any place to get this manual cheaper than 105 bucks?

I have previously owned 3 BMW opposed twins. I love the new vertical twin F800 engine, I really am happy with it's character. Especially the gearbox; the ratios could not be better, and compared to the Boxer twins, it's 10 times easier to use. No clanks or crunches when shifting.
Getting back on topic, I've been searching for information of syncing the two throttlebodies. I used to do this when I serviced the Boxer engines. I used at first my mercury sticks, then upgraded to the Twinmax...

Unfortunately I have to start this by pointing out that neither of the kits I purchased actually fit the bike without modification. That might be down to my bike, or perhaps down to some changes to the 2008 year ST but from what I could see on the diagrams all the parts from both kits shipped correctly. You will have to decide for yourself if the modifications I describe are within your capabilities - the end product certainly makes the effort worthwhile in my opinion although obviously it...
