What is the weather doing where you are?

Okay, spring has arrived around the world, or fall in some cases, and I'm curious what is happening in this little community.
Here in Ohio, we are having colder than normal temperatures, in the mid to high 30s (F) with snow every couple of days that never stays around. I'm going crazy waiting for a dry day. I would say I'm 2 weeks to a month out from everyday use.
I'm curious about the changes others are experiencing, and especially south of the Equator (like NZ and South America and South Africa)-are your every day riding days beginning to fade away.
I think the Brits weather is alway mild enough to ride, despite their rain?
Anyway, how about weather reports from around the world.
Thanks..

Just returned from a 'vacation' (in the cage) to a 25/25 night - that's 25F with 25kt winds.[xx(]
Enroute back I saw a Volvo station wagon that had sustained an engine fire - whole front end was 'cooked' - wrecker was just departing as I passed in the slow traffic - as I got back up to speed the first car to pass me (like a maniac due to having been inconvenienced no doubt) was - YEP - another Volvo SW!

BTW for our Brit friends, I was informed by a reliable source that a gentleman there was commenting about his wife just staring thru the window at the snow for the past 3 days - he figures if it continues he will probably have to let her back inside......[8D]

We've seen our first rays of sunshine for over a week ( still with a few showers though). At least where we live is on a hill, so we're not getting flooded like 60% of QLD is.

Hmmmm ... Australia sure is a very BIG country.

As Steve has pointed out 60% of QLD is under water :rain: whilst down south in Victoria we are expecting a top temperature of 40 degrees celsius (104F) on New Year's Eve with strong, hot winds to boot [eek]

Snow has been on the ground for something like two weeks now, and today, we are supposed to finally have a high temp above freezing. Yay!!!

Of course, turns out we will have freezing rain in the process of getting there....

Very thick fog today. First ride out since the snow melted and not much fun, but needed to go out and pick up my new leathers from the Hein Gericke shop.

Well, for the past 2 days we've had a big yellow ball of burning hydrogen in the sky, I can't remember it's name, it's been that long since we've seen it [:D]. Back to showers tomorrow.[:(]

For you European people, in QLD alone, an area the size of France and Germany combined is under flood water at the moment.

It's been on the news over here - dreadful for you guys. I hope you've not been personally affected Steve (or any other Ozzie members of the forum).

I've been affected badly. I've had to stay indoors and reno the bathroom. [:(!]
We're actually high and dry where we live.SE QLD isn't too bad, we've just had a bit of localised minor flooding. Up north has had most of it.

I don't care what the weather is tomorrow, I've teed up with a mate to go for a ride, come rain, hail or shine (it could be all three knowing this weather of late [sure])

Well, it's still bloody raining. We've had 2" each day for the past 2 days and about another 3" so far today.
The local creek is starting to think that it's tidal. We're heading for a bit of minor flooding here, but my old home town of Maryborough, where I spent my first 25 yrs, and Gympie, where I spent the next 20, are in for some moderate to major flooding, the way this rain is going. Areas between Gympie and Maryborough copped 12" of rain day before yesterday and a few more inches since.
Be nice to get a week of sunshine (when was the last time we saw that???? about 6mths ago) and get a bit of riding in.

Mind you, Rose has let me get a new pair of riding boots, as my old ones are leaking and she's sick of them sitting around, trying to dry out. I've ordered a pair of Rossi Visions, http://www.rossiboots.com.au/catalogue/catalogue_details.asp?prodID=110
No nothing to do with Valentino, these are by Rossiters in Sth Aus, who have been making boots nearly longer than there's been motorcycles.

I'm just down the road from steve n rose, in Brisbane - went for a run this morning, got caught out in the rain, so took my shirt off to stop it getting too wet - although it's rainy, at least it's not cold.

Ken, How are you going as far as the water goes? What part of Brissie are you in?

In the 2 hrs after my last post the gauge jumped from 74mm to 144mm(at which I emptied it as it only goes to 150mm)
I checked the gauge this morning, all up, in the last 22hrs we've had 213mm (about 8.5").

what the heck is going on down there? supposed to be your hot dry summer....on TV it looks so bad there and I dure hope mother nature gives you all a break soon and your gov't gets you some $$ relief. I saw one fund raiser going on in your country and they raise about 10 million to assist those in need. I think all countries should pitch in!

Thanks for that, AZ-J [:(!]

It'd probably be better than all this rain at the moment, Tony.
It's starting to get serious with people killed and missing.
Another 104mm yesterday, but nothing compared to Toowoomba-Lockyer area.[:(]
