Need some advice... I'm 6'1", with a 34" inseam. I bought the bike used with a BMW comfort seat. Its obviously built for a shorter rider, and the slope pushed my man parts into my throat, and my knees to my ears. Next tried the stock tall seat, which was a brick, and again too much slope toward the front. Bought a Seat Concepts tall seat just before the snow fell. After a few rides on it, I like the height and the padding. However, it too slopes too much forward. Has anyone found a taller seat that is truly flat? Thx

I have the Sargent sport touring seat and whilst I'm not sure if it is much higher than stock it has less of a slope than any other seat I've tried. The BMW comfort seat is to me too softly padded with Not enough room to move front to back. Unless you go completely custom I'm not sure you will get a completely flat seat as the under-seat tank jacks up the rear end. That said the Sargent is the best seat I've tried and is good enough for 1-2 hours without a break - which is the most I can usually manage anyway.

Sure you had the comfort seat and not the lowered seat?

The real comfort seat is supposed to be a bit higher than the standard seat; 83.5 cm vs 82 cm for the standard and the lowered seat has a height of 79 cm.
I'm 6'4" with 34" inseam as well and sit nice and stable on the standard seat.

I'm considering a comfort or Sargent seat as well because the standard seat isn't too comfortable after an hour or so, but not because of the slope though.

I am happy with my Sargent seat. The build quality is excellent and the comfort is almost as good as a custom-made seat. It is also about the same height as the stock seat. My only complaint is that the seat material is slippery if you are wearing some types of fabric pants, like waterproof nylon rain pants.

My friend is about your size and our bikes came with the comfort seats. I'm about 5`8" so the seat is fine for me, but for him, same problem as you.
His solution was to get an auto upholster to remove the seat cover, recut/reshape the original seat foam, (removed some of the slope and reshaped the sides) which turned out quite well retaining the original seat cover as well.
He's pleased with the results and cost about A$100. This solution is often overlooked and is usually cheaper than a new seat.

I'm with Richard with the Sargent. I bought the Sargent flat Enduro at the Hamburg rally, after trying out very thing else. Put a 900 mile straight ride home from n I think and haven't looked back since. Tried seat concepts with mixed results but found Sargent to be superior in every way.
