Happy Butt is a Happy me.
On my RT I used to have a Russell Long day seat. Best seat I've ever had.
What about the BMW, Touratech or Corbin?
Any feedback Thanks

I just came home from a 5 hour on the BMW Comfort seat on my 2013 and no issues. It took a good 1500 KMs to break in but it's great. I've put close to 4000KMs on the seat so far. Also I like that it is a bit taller than the regular seat.
I have a buddy that recommended Sargent seats. I was going to get that but my Kalamata Came with the Comfort seat. I think they are pricy but they look good
This is a link to my youtube walk around the bike if you would like to see how the BMW Comfort seat looks

From what I can tell, all better seat options add some height. I've also got a Kalamata low-suspension model coming and I intend to ride that for awhile to see how comfortable I am with the height (I'll be on the balls of my feet on level ground) and only if I can manage the height will I consider a more comfortable seat. I do think the BMW low seat might be made of wood.

Hi
It look like from the video that the BMW comfort seat is two tone? light and dark grey?

Yes, The light Grey has a slightly different texture. almost leather like. I figure it is to help the passenger to not slide forward when breaking hard. Wy wife says she's comfortable when sitting there
I'm not sure about Florida, But when I got mine, I was able to get the comfort seat as a no charge option. I'm not sure if they still plan to do that, but when they first released pricing in Canada, the comfort seat was listed as N/C if ordered on the bike from Factory. I just managed to get a good dealer that gave it to me on the first bike that came in. If you can, I would get it regardless and if you don't like it, sell it. There are lots of people looking for better seats so you can always get rid of it if you don't like.
I bought a Sargent seat and find it very comfortable. So comfortable I forget about it...
I have the BMW comfort seat and find it to be just right. It makes the seating position slightly taller than the standard seat, which suits my knees; it was entirely comfortable for the ~17 hours of riding I put in on the national rally last July.
Day to day I tend to mainly do my 2 hr each way commute and never have any problems.
Cheers

+1 for the BMW comfort seat
Here's a good shot of the Corbin seat:
Wife says that it's very comfortable, but the only problem is if you do a lot of off-road, the seat splays your knees too far apart to grip the sides of the bike. Other than that, she loves it!

I sent mine off to XPC and couldn't be happier. I've sent my Triumph and Ducati seat off to them as well. Can't wait to get them back.
I've got the Standard OEM seat and after 4000km I was hoping both the seat and my rear would do some breaking in and meet in the middle but both remain obstinate. Where I live I don't have much (well, none that I know of) access to after-market seats, other than an uncertain re-upholstery job. However I can get the BMW Comfort seat, and I can probably just get by with the extra height it adds (895mm c/w 880mm). I've read that others have liked the Comfort seat, but I'm also wondering if anyone has changed up to the Comfort from the Standard and then still had to go to an after-market seat to get comfortable?
According to my experience, it takes about 20,000 miles to fully break-in the stock seat so that you can sit on it for more than a couple of hours. The question is, do you really want to spend that much time on the seat before it becomes more comfortable? My recommendation is to buy the Comfort seat - or any other after-market seat, or pad, or cover, or whatever. They will all be better than the stock seat.![]()

I took the Comfort seat out for a 30min ride yesterday... too short of course to gauge a long trip but it's easy to see and feel it's going to be way better as it doesn't have the ramp angle under the tail bone that the Standard does. I was concerned about the extra bit of height as I don't have much inseam to spare, but I have to say even at 895mm with I guess the softer foam it doesn't feel much higher at all than the 880mm standard and I can still flat-foot it.
I actually swapped out my comfort seat for a Sargent Enduro. It wasn't really a comfort issue as much as it was that I couldn't move back and forth in the comfort seat for off road stuff. The Sargent seems at least as comfortable and it's nice to be able to move around.
I'd love to be able to have access to Sargent, Renazco, Corbin etc but it's OEM or an upholstery job on the OEM here. Otherwise it would be a matter of trying to import an after-market seat and hoping for the best or sending my pan overseas- so it will be the Comfort seat for touring and the Standard + cycle shorts for off-piste

I may well end up using my comfort seat for touring and the Sargent for off road or mixed riding as well.
I like my BMW comfort seat...have to admit though I've only done about hour-long commute rides so far on mine. Charlie's solution for an enduro seat to swap out for off-road rides sound good too, but at my height (6'0"), Im not sure that the seat will get in the way of moving around while standing on the pegs off road. At least while on the center stand in my garage, I can stand on pegs an move my butt to the rear over the step-up at the passenger portion of the seat without getting snagged up on the seat. Have yet to try it off-road though.
It wasn't so much the standing on pegs moving as it was that I felt like I wanted to scoot back a bit while sitting too. Maybe it's because of my tankbag, but the comfort seat seemed to force me to sit farther to the front than I wanted in city traffic. I'm 6' as well, but seat choice appears to be very subjective.![]()
The only time I really need to scoot back while sitting on the seat would be going down a very steep track or drop-off, but I don't do too much of that.
Speaking of softer seats, Bill Mayer is making a interesting seat pad. Sort of a stick-on version of one of his seats. I don't know how this pad works, but it is another option for someone who wants a pad to move from bike to bike. It also looks like it would noticeably raise the seating height of your motorcycle, though.
