I was a courier when I bought this bike from my boss in '81, big step up from my Honda CB450K1 - although I wish I still had that too! Lots of camping holidays in Europe & my only transport for years.
Retired the bike about 20 years ago & have finally finished restoring it during Covid lockdown! Engine & gearbox refurbished by specialist Roger Bennett, including twin-plug heads. I fitted new boyer ignition, Enduralast starter, had the frame powder coated & replaced the bearings, stripped & refurbished the hydraulics - twin discs, I respoked both wheels with stainless - took me ages! Started first go & sounds great! |
