I'm kiwi born and bred and moved to Melbourne, Australia in October 2002 and love it here.I had a good few months rest and then in February 2003 I commenced work for the then ECV (Emergency Communications Victoria) as an Ambulance Calltaker. I then trained as an Ambulance Dispatcher. In December 2004 I was appointed as an Ambulance Team Leader. In November 2009, I was promoted to Assistant Centre Manager of our Regional Operations Centre in Ballarat. In May 2013, I was appointed to a brand new role as Quality Improvement Manager back in Melbourne and excited by the challenge of establishing a whole new area of the business. In December 2005 my then housemate, Rob, and I opened a bookshop but it failed dismally and we were forced to close the doors just five months later. I'd lost over $100,000 in the process - a valuable lesson that I was not cut out to be a businessman. In February 2008, I commenced some part time work as an Instructor for Flight Experience (http://www.flightexperience.com.au) here in Melbourne where customers have the chance to take the controls of a Boeing 737-800 simulator and see what it's really like to handle a large jet aircraft. Unfortunately, due to the two hour drive from Ballarat, I've had to step down from this role so now simply enjoy Flight Simulation on my PC as I have done for years!
