Always lube splines. Axles too. I've got a container of copper anti seize I've used for years and many bikes. Would I trust that the manufacturer properly lubed the splines on assembly, NO!

The market is crazy. When homes were family abodes prices were stable for a long time. Then came investment buying and rentals. Now there are airb&b's

I got mine from this place for my DL650. About $25 for 3. Went into the calipers easily and worked flawlessly.
Bleeding the brakes took very little time.

What DJ said. Dealing with sales persons is a unfortunate necessity. Decide what you want to pay and stick to it. I dislike the games so when I went in to buy my ST and the subsequent G650GS I said...

I really enjoyed my ST but wonder if it would have made 100K. I know there have been several that did get high miles but still. Some failures are scary.

Hola, Your bike can do many miles comfortably. My ST was great for tearing up the canyons and doing 1000 mile days when necessary. The ST was probably the best bike I've owned. I had an Air Hawk seat...

I'm surprised that the tests on big rigs hasn't gone mainstream yet. WalMart trucks between distribution centers and FedEX could easily be electrified. Autonomous too.
Wonder what happened to those...

Lubing the Axle bolt is a really good idea. I had one kind of rust in place when i neglected to give it a coating of grease. My bad. A good swack with a hammer knocked it loose and some sense into me.

My 800 died several years ago but in 57K miles the front wheel never had a problem going in and out. Are any spacers properly installed, or left out? Quite ofte little things like that get...

If you can find the clamshell originals you may like them. I thought they were brilliant. When I hit a deer and killed the bike I sold my luggage set to a guy in Phoenix for $250. He got away cheap.

I love the color in the link. I painted my Wee Strom tan and recently got some Harbor freight boxes in tan. Just the thing for proper ADV travel.

"Kind of makes me wonder how the possum-scraper wheel would get enough traction against the tire to move 600-800 pounds of bike and rider."

AS nice as the Honda is a fully kitted CSC 450cc isn't much higher in price. But a 259 pound toy for going out and bashing about on trails and back roads is appealing. The 1.4 gallon tank feeding an...

Too much red paint? Too much power in the wrong hands? Oh, the Humanity.

It's so much easier to put a digital volt meter in the system. Then you know what voltages are being produced. I got some for a like $3 a piece for the bikes I have.
Wired properly you know exactly...

Kind of going from one cartoon to another.

Wonderful. So retro that is has the same shit brakes as a friends 1911 Excelsior 350. It could go like stink, slowly though. And rely on a Bendix rear brake to not get you killed.
Generally it's a...

Bleeders make it easy, cost about $25 when I got some for my Vee Strom. Made the fluid change a 20 minute task. That hand held Mighty vac pump never worked...

Recycling batteries has been a PITA. Not car batteries per se but the flashlight and electronics power supplies. For all the pleading to recycle, the centers for doing so aren't so prevalent.

So the GT will sit out in the weather and the riding mower will be protected until the spring green? Excellent!

If one is in a position of regulating other members, they should keep their political and religious superiority to themselves. If it's in the ADULT section, it shouldn't be monitored as though you...

Look for a used set. I sold mine to a guy in Phoenix for $250 with 2 keys. I've gotten used BMW bags for my G650GS and my Wee Strom for about $500 shipped. So used stuff is out there if you get...
