You need a voltmeter to observe what is happening in the system. A full heated suit may not be possible no matter what battery you have.
Have 07 ST with 1 1/2" bar back risers. Foot pegs are stock height, stock seat.
Does the GT have more "room" between bars, pegs and seat? Are there any comparisons on line I can view?
BTW, from this WTB ad I got two scam offers, so be aware there are some as*holes lurking about.
Hook up to battery direct to be sure the light is good. Go from there. Maybe test for current at the spade connectors.
Wrap it with duct tape and all is well.
Function over form!
A voltmeter would be a great tool to diagnos and monitor the electrical systems on these bikes. I wish BMW had added that to the display options. Here is a discussion from several years ago. Try to...
Thanks all, will omit the cat.
Have an Akrapovic muff for my 07 f800 and it comes with a catalytic converter. Do I need to actually install it? The only thing I see it adds besides restriction is a sealing ring welded around the...
I mistook, you for the OP, sorry!
I'm still looking for one.
Thanks for the note, still lookng for one for the '07 ST
Any one have an Akropovik titanium exhaust for a F800 St they would like to sell?
Check pm if still available, sorry for the neglect!
I have both 665 and 590 in touratech mounts. The 590 has not seen the road yet but when compared to the 665, equally secure. Nothing will absolutely keep the GPS on the bike, bad guys with big screw...
Toby, would like to know what sort of hot car you are engineering here in the states? Great to hear from you, see you in six months?[:D]
Same tech as Shoria. So weird the same capacity can be had in 20% of the weight of the OEM battery.
Well, while we are ruminating on the old days, I've added a BMW X Challenge to the stable, replacing the KLR650 that has served me well and is for sale if interested. The ST is still well loved.
Sorry forgoing off topic, one last comment-
Don't think the aluminum will fit under the bodywork and it might complicate easy access to things mounted to the underside.
Kev, best thing is to make the piece or perhaps a mockup in stiff poster board and fit it. Then stare at it for a day or two when you walk by your bike. It was not a fully formed idea when I started...
Just added new photos. I can send you a template to use, the 2 mounting screws have a rubber or nylon washer under them to keep them off the paint and I think I used stick on clear silicon...
Take a look at this post, the photo must have been lost in a website upgrade, I will try to add one.
Secure the loose ends of the straps so they don't flap about, it can damage paint and straps should not be touching any metal parts, trailer or bike. This can saw through the strap faster than you...
Probably not news, I got a recall letter in early January.
Looked at your diesel bikes, wonderful! The YouTube vid only plays audio but the stills are fascinating.
Quite an experimenter, you are!
No canbus issue but plays havoc with the squelch on my JM cb. It trips the circuit that connects the helmit speakers to listen to incoming transmissions at the same rate as the modulation frequency....
