    Hi Forum

I wish to change my of road tyres to road tyres (Michelin Akee 3 have been highly recommended for a multitude of performances in various conditions).

However, one dealer said I can't change to tubeless!?!

Is it possible (and safe) to change the tyres to tubeless road tyres?....I'm in the UK.

    many thanks

Has to do with the rims, these are not suitable for tubeless tyres. Just use an inner tube...

I'd agree with FrankV, I'm sure if you search diligently you'll find someone have devised a way to seal the rims.

I run 'tubeless' Heidenau Scout K60s on my KLR650. Just used tubes.

Here's a link randomly grabbed from the web that may have some ideas:

I just put tubeless TKC-80s on my 2015 800GS. No problems, just use the tubes.

There are multiple threads about rim sealing products to mount tubeless tires on spoked wheels (at least in the MX world). Tubliss is one of them.
