Hello all,I use my F800r for short technical circuits and for high speed cornering, tight hairpins and cheeky inside corner passing, the f800r is light, nimble, flickable and very rewarding when pushed hard.So far ive installed Ohlins rear shock,Andreani adjustable fork cartridges and Healtech quick shifter it has the full,Ac Shnitzer options for the f800r exhaust,Bodywork, levers,Crash protection, brake reservoir and air filter, remote air temp sensor.Anyone else using their F800r on track?Or has done extensive track tuning,vis-a-vie remaps power commanders etc?Below are some pics from my last track day.Click image for larger version.

    Great action pictures.

What are some of the other bikes you see in these races?

Nice pics! I'd have to do a fair amount of firming up the suspension on mine before I'd consider track use, but I didn't buy it for the track. I have an 08 Tuono Factory which scares the bejesus out of me for that!

Had such a great time with the F800 on track,I've decided to go full race spec.Recently installed full system arrow De-cat headers and pipes,Sprint race air filter, power commander 5,hyperpro steering damper and running 99ron fuel.Brake pads were upgraded to brembo sintered race spec.Needless to say the bike can now contend with any supersport on track.Custom power commander Dyno tune is booked in for next month. Will post the graph when done.

I love your setup ! Everything is there: performance and protection.

On my F800S, I have an Ohlins rear shock (with remote hydraulic preload adjuster), and RaceTech 1.00 kg/mm springs + emulators into front forks, but I still find them too soft/not enough dampened... it needs emulators fine tuning that is complicated by the fork configuration. A Remus Hexacone exhaust with Accelerator module (stock air filter) complete the set up, but I plan to install a Sprint air filter and maybe try the PC FC (easier and less expensive to finetune vs. PC V).

Do you like your Andreani cartridges ? Was it complicated to install ? I plan to install those if I can't find a good adjustment with my front end.

I too did one trackday this september, but I didn't drag my knee as my last trackday experience was 10 years ago... So thumbs up for your skills ! I plan to do more track days next season, and you reinforce my decision to keep my F800S for that purpose.

Great stuff both of you. I did my first trackday on a standard ST last month and had a fantastic time. The shopping bike suprised everyone even with stock suspension.

I am well gelled with it as we have covered 35 thousand miles together over the last few yrs. It is still as strong as ever. at nearly 60K just a little soft for track use. Adjustable should give me the best of both worlds, soft for touring, firm for scratching.

This has led to me wanting to upgrade to a cartridge fork and I am thinking the Andreani is the way forward, the advert I have seen says 2010-12 and my bike is 2006 will they fit ?

Love this bike. best allrounder I have ever owned. Trackday sleeper

dread, according to the link below (see 31 - Front suspension), forks are the same for all years. Idem for the F800S, that has the same frame, motor and suspension as the ST.

Yes it does appear so. The uk importer says they are only for 2010-12 but maybe they no less than us wouldn't be suprised Thanks. Just would like to speak with someone who has fitted them if possible. Just seems easier and cheaper than fitting another front end.

The f800 is one hell of a sleeper, wish I could've seen the look on the dudes face in pic 2.
I had the stock seat made higher/ thicker with a high density foam so its firmer, and then re-upholstered.
Recently I installed a PC5 and had it professionally Dyno tuned running 99ron fuel,Full arrow de cat system,AC schnitzer end can and Sprint air filter.Cant wait for my next track day.
