Go to the ST Modification Nation and use the search function. You'll not only get ideas but also how owners feel about them. I've never used crash bars but those who have will respond.

I love the crash bars on my ST, and do indeed have lights and foot pegs mounted to them.

BUT... no one makes/sells them anymore. Best bet would be to keep an eye on ebay for a set of used ones. Problem with that is that chances are that if the bike was totaled as the reason for parting it out, the cash bars were probably destroyed as the bike crashed.

If you do find a source please share with the group.

SW Motech. They came grey, but I painted them black to better blend in.

Yah, mind the for sale section of the forum. I've gotten 3 sets of bars for my various bikes in the sale section of those forums.
Even a wrecked bike may have usable crash bars. When I hit a deer it was in the front, I didn't go down and if I had bars they'd be fine.
Might just google crash bars or use http://www.adhuntr.com/ and hunt the suckers down.
The bars I got are a bit scratched up, that's what they are for and a bit of black spray paint and all mo bettah...unless you are a perfectionist. In which case you should never fall down.

Thanks, I will check to see if they still make them. Their site doesn't list them. I presume that you have to remove them to get the lower Tupperware off.

Yes, they need to come off to get the lower fairing off. Thankfully, there aren't many maintenance things that require the bottom to come off. Also, they go on and off really easily.
