    HI all,

Brought my ST in October but forgot to post on here.
Replaced my Suzi GS500F for commuting.
Loving it so far apart from the nice low grinding bearing noise from the rear axle.
Axle repair kit ordered from the locals stealers. as its two weeks wait from europe for the same part at £100 less..

Loving the bike none the less!! comfortable, quick, looks gorgeous and riding "enthusiastically" still returns 62mpg.

Only seen one other and that was GT and we stopped for a chat!!

Welcome from Puget Sound! Our weather is about like yours...cold, windy and wet. But my GT still brings a smile to my face when I get on it to commute.

BTW, thanks for including your location in your profile!

    Welcome Rob.
The bikes are a really good, and actually relatively easy to work on yourself - no doubt you are finding this out involuntarily! What year ST is it you have? There was a recall on the rear bearings for certain product years of bike.,

    Hi DJ,
2007 in Blue. The Local Motorrad dealership is now covering the cost of replacing the rear axle and eccentric from my visit today to collect the axle repair kit. Asked about any recall data on my bike and i had two outstanding. The axle recall wasn't done on the bike by the previous owner so they did a quick call to head office and the recall is valid with all costs being covered by BMW! Happy days.... Plus they are also changing the steering damper under recall which i was going to replace as it was thumping. £1000 worth of work for free and it's only costing me £40 for the collection and return of the bike. No courtesy bikes available I'm not complaining though and they will refund me £623 i've already for the axle repair kit

It is a good thing they cover it, I was surprised that they were covering it on all the old bikes (mine was covered a few years ago and that was a 2006 plate).
