Hi to you all, I have just added a new group, "East Midlands F8 club". I welcome any one of you with an F8 any model, to join this club who are within this catchment area, or if your near any surrounding area. Just post and I will take it from there.

I look forward to seeing some familiar names pop up.

Well, Dave I have long time friend and past member of the forum that lives in Oldbury, Sandwell. A regular Yam Yam of the Black Country. I have visited several times and love the canals and the Black Country Museum. My friend visited Oregon and we spent some time riding the roads and put in around 1500 miles. He was planning to visit sometime within the year or so but, the virus all but ended that.

I used to work for a company in Dudley West Midlands. I had to travel many times over to the Black Country, which is not to be confused with Birmingham, though I used to compose the two, and was brought up many times by my inaccuracy. I can put on the Black Country accent when needed and copy an old aquantence in saying, hows our Weendie.

Yup. the canal system is awesome there, especially under the M6 flyover,, where there is a railway as well, this is missed by the motorists.

Take it easy Phil in these bad times were experiencing.

I was able to visit the Harvington House too. I made it into Wales before taking the ferry to Dublin..... good times.

We walked under the M6 flyover along the canal. There was a huge amount of scaffolding the likes i have never seen before under the flyover.

Nigel, click on the Forum with a pic of a house up top, this takes you to the forum index, scroll down to the very bottom where you should find the Groups section, East Midlands F8 Club (EMF8) should be at the top of this group. Ian from Norfolk is in, so I look forward to seeing you there.

Hello Flook. I live in Rugby, Warwickshire, and ride an F800R. I hope I might be eligible for the new group. Best wishes, Rob.

No problem Rob. How are you enjoying your F8R, when of course you can ride it.

Hello Flook. I'll have had it for 12 months come mid-May. It has gone from 3,000 miles to 8,000 miles in those 10 months of riding. But, as you say, nothing doing at present. I sold my R1200R when I bought the F800R. The 1200 was getting just a bit too big and heavy for me. So a concession to old age: down I have come. Not many regrets. Rob.

RobA, noticed you have not joined yet. Join, post photos of your bike, I will have to do mine sometime, then everyone would see what a mess it is in.
