    Hi all
I've just purchased a f800r 2012 and low mileage. The bike is in great condition. This particular model does not have a gear display or fuel display. Just wondering if I could swap the instrument panel over to one that has these features.

Welcome, Masticman. I am sorry to inform you that installing the more extensive instrument display is a factory option and can not be retrofitted by a dealer - to the best of my knowledge. But it wouldn't hurt to ask a BMW dealer just to make sure.

What was that post about a whole lot of the dash doesn't show but appears to be available if you knew how. Never heard of one that didn't have the whole lasagna. A bargain bike with no gear of fuel gauge, weird.

BMW offered two different versions of the F700/800 models. You could pay extra for a (relatively) large display with various options, including a gear indicator, fuel mileage, and a few other displays that you can select with a button on the left handlebar. Or you could get the basic model with a small screen that provided minimal information. Most people bought bikes loaded with extra-cost factory options, including the larger display screen.

I have managed to get all the features working using motoscan ultimate. Finding a second hand bezel without the half screen is impossible. BMW want to charge £182 for a new surround.
