    Hi

BMW slightly updated the stock exhaust on the F800GS/F700GS in 2017 by adding a more attractive end piece.

I'm considering putting a 2017 exhaust on my 2013 F700GS, because I like the new design (and they are available for cheap).

However, since most of the 2017 updates were related to meeting new EU4 requirements, I'm wondering if the changes to the exhaust were more than cosmetic.

    I have two questions:

    1) Will the 2017 exhaust have any ECU mapping compatibility issues with a 2013?
    2) Will the 2017 sound different? Is it louder or quieter?

    Thanks!

If the muffler fits it will not bother the ECU or have any effect on emissions. I doubt it will sound any different, but I don't know for sure as I don't own either of those model years.
