Ordered the Cyclops conversion kit for my ST. The company called and said the caps will not fit back on with the wire, but some people have said they “notched” the cap and we’re able to install. I thought I saw a YouTube clip of someone tucking the cord in and fitting the caps on but can’t find it now. Has anyone successfully installed the cyclops high and low beam without going the 3-D printer route?

    Yes.

You don't need the extra deep cap. The ballast or "driver" it might be called, is waterproof. In fact, I think it is highly preferable to put it on the outside of the light cover where it can get some cooling without adding heat to the closed space inside the headlight reflector.

Take the OEM cap off. Remove the rubber o-ring. Drill a hole just large enough in the 6 o'clock position on the edge to allow the wire to pass through. Put the wire through, put the rubber o-ring back on and install it. Use Velcro to hold the ballast or "driver" on.

    It's simple and effective.
