Hi- I recently purchased a 2008 F800s. It’s my first ever bike (for learning). I’ve noticed that on full lock left and right it’s trapping my fingers against the fairing. I’m sure this isn’t normal?
Anyone any idea how to fix?
    Many thanks

Is the clip on in the same position as the other one? I don't know if they're adjustable on the S. It could be the clip on is bent and needs either straightened, or replacing.

I just replaced my LH handlebar (dropped the bike in the garage because I'm dumb...), it only goes in one way and doesn't look like there's any adjustment for the clip on or any of the controls. It's likely yours are slightly bent. There is an obvious location where it can bend right where the bar goes into the triple tree, and looks like it should be able to be straightened by someone with the right equipment to hold the bar in place. A new one is $$ so spending a little at a shop to try to straighten it is worth it.

I run an S top triple clamp on my ST and instead of OEM bars, I use alloy ones from Woodcraft offered as replacements for race clipons. Each bar is less than $20. Only modifications needed were filing a small round notch where one of the triple clamp bar pitch bolts needs relief as it penetrates into the bore where the bar slides into a tiny bit. Other change is bar end weights. I run some R&G weights that are stainless and incorporate a slider puck on end.
