Hi All,
My 2013 ABS is operating at startup (light flashes until a few metres of travel and then goes off) but intermittently after 10-30km of travel, the ABS light will come on.
After observing this for several weeks, I cannot determine if road surface (bitumen) is a factor - I could be travelling on smooth or rough roads, bumps, etc. immediately before/when the light comes on.
I've checked the ABS sensors for front and rear, and neither seem loose nor out of alignment with its slotted disc.
Any thoughts on what else I should check/observe/consider?
Thanks.

Any play in the wheel bearings? Loose or bent sensor ring, maybe from a rock hit?

Good thoughts, thanks.
I'll get it up on the stands tomorrow and take a look.

Might be interesting to know if the ABS is working. Find an open stretch and see if you can (safely) lock up the rear wheel. Gravel road, sandy portion of a parking lot, etc. I'd be interested in trying the test after the light has started intermittently flashing. If the ABS is working and your light comes on as you are braking hard, might just be a loose connection on one of the sensor cables.

This happened on my K1200RS years ago. Front wheel bearing.
