This will probably be one of the most appreciated Christmases in Aus, with many of the restrictions lifted, except for NSW. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

Merry Christmas, all and wishes for health and happiness in the new year. 2020 truly has been a challenge with the accident and my wife's health issues, yet we know we are very blessed and lucky in many ways.

Beep Beep and Happy Holidays!
Never try to teach a pig to sing, it wastes your time and annoys the pig.

Cheers to all and have a wonderful, Happy New Year!
The year was not a wasted one for me. I got my motorcycle license in February and I've been having a grand time learning, gaining experience, putting a bunch of miles on my bikes. Love my F800ST now that I know how to ride. (Had to switch to a smaller bike to learn for a while since I measure 5'1" and have returned to my lovely F800.) I appreciate you all and your thoughts throughout the year!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Ciao, Gunther,
I'm not sure what you mean by the 5" club or getting a card. If it's a club for short people, I'm in! Where do I go??

Ciao, yes, that's my short people club
.
"Where do I go" do you ask? Well, I don't know where are you going, but, if I can suggest a place where to go riding a motorbike, I'd say Sardinia (short people paradise
): the best motorcycling roads I've seen in my life, warm weather for at least 8 months a year, friendly people and good food. The first SRR (short riders rally) will be held there
Seriously, I chose F800R (with extra low saddle) also for its height, but it's really a good multipurpose machine, I only miss a fairing when riding in the rain during trips abroad, something I tend to avoid every time it's possible.

Gunther you are never late, especially if you bring a good bottle of wine, even a packet or two of crisps

Ha, ha! What I meant, Gunther, is where do I go on the f800riders website to connect with the short riders club? I wish I could ride in Sardinia...sounds wonderful. I love Italy! I have been there several times...love the people and the food. My great grandfather was from Domodossola (Ducati country) and migrated to France where all of my family is. I live in the south in the United States. I have an extra low saddle on my F800ST and I love it!

Sophie, why do you not start a group for short persons with the lower versions of the F style bike. Then set up a thread asking for those who own the lowered version wherever they are to join.
Worth a try eh.

Even the idea comes from a former european, it may work.
@Sophie, actually ShortRidersSection still doesn't exist, there are not many of us gentlemen (and gentlewomen, of course).
I hate to act like a know-it-all, but Domodossola is closer to MotoGuzzi (Mandello) than to Ducati (Bologna)
.
So, tu est française?

That's a good idea, Flook! I have several ideas, questions, etc. that short people can relate to and discuss. Actually, I'm surprised there isn't one already. I didn't think to check it out in the Groups page.

Oui! Je suis française mais j'habite aux Etats Unis depuis bien longtemps.
Okay, so I will look into starting a group for those of us who are vertically challenged, lol! Ciao, Gunther

Done! I have started a "Short People Club" Group! @ Flook, this is my first time. I hope I have set it up correctly. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
@ Gunther - Hope you join!
