Hi Im Mick
New to BMW having ridden in recent times my Moto Guzi breva 1100 and Aprilia Pegasso in recent years.
The Aprilia has given way for the GSA. Most of my riding has been road touring and I have bought this bike to do some exploration in central Australia. Flinders Ranges, Oodnadatta track and up to Uluru.
Im after any tips on setting the bile up or gremlins I should look out for and repair before I plan to head off in early March 2021.
Look forward to learning about the bike
cheers
Mick

You can certainly pick good bikes. I also had a Breva 1100 which I put a 100Kmiles on. Went to a F800GSA because I wanted comfortable suspension and enjoy my legs not being scrunched up jockey style aka Breva.

Yes border closures are always a risk I guess, but a small one. Managed a run up to Qld while doing some camping on the northern NSW coast of after the Victorian lockdown finished. Was away for a month with no hassles. So Im thinking all will be well. Pick up the beemer tomorrow

Had a great Ride in Victoria's Otway Ranges over the weekend, a bit of dirt road, some slippery wet tracks in the rain forest and home along the Great Ocean Road. Bike went really well.
