I am planning on converting my GS to tubeless tires with installed Tire Pressure Monitoring System and remember finding a thread about the GS having the radio equipped but not turned on.
I want to know if anyone has turned on their OBC to the TPMS radio and configured there GS to read the sensors. (To confirm there is one already onboard).
Can it be configured with the MotoScan to pair up with the TPMS sensors or do you need to go to BMW to do it?
I tested the the RDC from my 2016 F800GT p/n 65757720818 plugged into the 2016 F800GS with the RDC activated via MotoScan and it registered the pressure from the GT parked next to it with he rear sensor activated.
I know the valve stems are different sizes for the tubed rims so I thinking of getting VMX tubeless rims and doing a full conversion instead of drilling out the valve stem hole.
Hi - new to this forum. I recently acquired a F650GS Twin (2008) and it had no TPMs fitted. I bought Motoscan, a used TPMS controller off ebay which I fitted under the seat in the allocated space. The bike had tubeless and so I purchased the sensors and valves. Used Motoscan to activate the pressures on the display and then coded in each sensor. All works a treat.
RoniRider, how did you get on?
The wake up tool isnt required, but makes it worth while to ensure the sensors are working before you install them in tire. The sensor is cheap. I highly recommend you get it for peace of mind. Otherwise you would have to ride the bike to wake up the sensors and then try to program.
Yes, if you have an alarm and want to keep it you would have to buy the RDC with Alarm. If not you just remove the alarm and plug the RDC in the same place.
THANKS , I will try it later and try to setup the roc with the motoscan
I let you know if I can do it by myself
