I was here years ago under another name when I had an 09 ST but could not remember password and my email changed. I dumped yahoo. I recently sold a 08 R1200R. I had it for a year and we just didn't mesh. It was a good cycle. Found a White 16 with 3K miles and all the bags 3 hours away from me in DFW so going to pick it up tomorrow. Maybe I will put an exhaust on it but maybe not. My other cycle in the garage is a 16 C650 Sport. I've just never been happy with only a scooter in the garage. It drives my wife crazy. The scooter is tons of fun and fixing to head out to the gym on it. Look forward to more posts here and maybe I need to order a belt from overseas just in case....

Welcome back. If I ever would replace my ST, it would be with a GT

Well trip went as planned. Guy was super nice and had about 10 other cycles in garage. Stopped at my buddies lake house 150mi away. Super slabbed it most of the way. I need some weighted bar ends but otherwise no issues.

It looks like you already have the weighted bar ends. You might look into rubber mounted risers. I put them on my ST and was able to toss my weighted ends in the trash.

Do they make any rubber gaskets to use in the mounts without the risers? I had risers on my R1200R and didn't care for them. I'm short and the way the F800GT is set up is decent right now. It came with the comfort seat which IS comfy but puts me up a tad higher.
80 in 6th gear is ok but going faster and approaching 6K RPMs and you begin to notice. I guess I need to read my manual. When the countdown starts for fuel, how many miles can you go? I'm guessing 40?
