    Hi all,

I've had my 'R' for nearly a whole 7 days now and I'm loving it! (Very different from my R12S, but just as much fun).

At the risk of sounding like some sort of pervert, () I'm after pictures of people's rear ends! More specifically if you've changed the silencer as that MASSIVE lump of standard can ruins the look of the bike. Side on, I love it, but looking from the back I'm guessing an oval exhaust, tucked in a little would be spot on.

Any pics for comparison greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Rob

Well it worked - you suckered me into reading this post. Being a GS owner I don't often read this forum but popped in to see how many bare arse pictures are being posted LOL. Where's Dunny - thought he'd have jumped in by now?

That said... let's see some more naked rear ends!

I had a full Akra titanium system on my R1200S, which went an awesome sexy looking purple/blue colour on the headers from the heat!

While I like the look of the standard can from the side, from behind it spoils the whole look of the bike as it's so big. I'm looking at the Yoshi tail tidy like the one that Gadgetguy's fitted in another thread, but want something in the exhaust department that will compliment this. Arrow and Remus also do de-cat headers which will help for when I start on setting the engine up.

Thanks for that, that's the sort of thing I'm after, an oval can looks much neater and less heavy and out of proportion.

Thanks for all the pics, I'm leaning towards the Remus as I can get a de-cat set of headers to match. Arrow also do a set of de-cat headers anyone got any pics?

Ordered a Yoshimura tail tidy ordered.

Here's my F800R (before she was replaced with '15 F800GSA)...

Very reasonable price for this exhaust can from Poland. It also sounds great, (seemed to) cut down on the vibes, and offered a little more torque to the 800. Gas mileage suffered a little as it was so nice to keep in the higher rev range 😉

Actually, I think the OEM can looks pretty damn good.

My after market Akra system. Does it look better? Well... in the eye of the beholder. Does it sound better? Undeniable!

    Hi

I see from the pics that some of you had eliminate the side luggage rack, does this afects the ride of the bike at all? I was thinking in doing that, but I dont know if it plays a part in the chassis stiffness... Thanks!!

Hi, first time posting, lurker for a long time!
I hated how the stock can sounded, so I threw a GPR GPE EVO Titanium, removed the luggage rack and the rear fender. Changes in weight are much more noticeable than expected and the new can sounds awesome! I'm really happy with the result, what do you guys think?

I doubt removing it will effect the bike's handling. My bike came with it (I don't even know its correct name) but I kept it on as it's a great luggage mounting point.

Tim,, I searched Saddleworth on Google Earth and found it. Looks like some spectacular motorcycling roads in that part of the planet.

I still have the rear license plate assembly from my F800R if anyone happens to want it. Pay the shipping and it's yours, though I don't know why you'd want to put it back on.

This is my 2016 800R with the full carbon/Ti exhaust from Italian SC-Projects. Brilliant guys to deal with and much cheaper than an Akra.
    Enjoy.

I wanted to minimalize the bike as well, so I got a Fuel Exhaust Diablo Carbon, "mini" size. I got it in round but they do oval shapes as well.
