Funny enough, it's in the K71 section that is labeled F800S, F800ST. In any case, there appears to be quite a bit of carryover from the F800ST.

Oh, and there appears to be an 'authority' model of the F800GT coming.

It's been on the BMW site since at least mid December, although the realoem site is much easier to navigate

Do you think they will have the same sorts of problems the earlier F bikeshad? Early piston failures, ignition switch failures, front belt drive pulleyproblems, swing arm pivot point problems etc. It would be OK if BMW stood bytheir bikes but BMW Australia at least won’t.

Sounds like you've been bitten, Rob. My experience with BMW Oz has been good - failed top case replaced free of charge.

I'm sure all the problem areas you quoted have been sorted by now. Ignition switch wasn't isolated to the F800 series and was replaced under a recall. All other problems seem rather random in occurrence, but there's evidence of new part numbers for the relevant parts in the ST. Do you think BMW would raid the old parts bin when producing the GT?

Just stumbled on this 2013 review. I think he liked it. Nice riding on the video. What do you mean that you can't wheelie?
